Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is a single-seat, single-engined, all-weather stealth multirole fighters. The development of the F-35 started in 1992 with the Joint Strike Fighter program. The X-35 first flew on 24 October 2000 and the F-35A on 15 December 2006. The F-35 was developed to replace most US fighter jets with variants of one design common to all branches of the military.
